Boys Hifdh Class
Note: Students applying for this course must be at least ten years of age.
The Haafiz is an important person in the Muslim community as he plays a role in the preservation of the Qur’an. A Haafiz is given the responsibility of teaching the children the recitation of the Qur’an and during the month of Ramadhan, a Haafiz is responsible to lead the late night extra prayers.
This course is designed to cater for each individual student according to his capabilities and potential, with an emphasis on the importance of intonation (Tajweed) and rules of recitation. The syllabus has been prepared in a manner that will enable a student to memorise the entire Qur’an (approximately over 6,000 verses) and retain it. This task ostensibly may seem daunting and difficult but in reality this is the true miracle of the Qur’an.
The Hifdh class offers students the opportunity to memorise the Glorious Qur'an.
Support is given to students as well as structure which combinely aids a student into commiting the glorious words of the Qur'an to memory and retaining this memorisation through revision.
The memorisation of the Qur'an is a virtuous act which carries many benefits and rewards. It is the speech of Allah which has been retained in the hearts and memories of those whom Allah wishes to emulate.
